Banking Services

Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) will receive bids from qualified banks to provide banking services. Bids must be received in the METRO office at 201 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603, in sealed envelopes marked “BANKING SERVICES” no later than 3:00 PM Central Time on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The schedule will allow for thirty-two (32) calendar days for bid submission.

Specifications may be obtained from the office of METRO, 201 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603, on or after Monday, April 23, 2012 by contacting Shelly Gomez. Interested banks may download the specifications by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page or by calling (785) 233-2011 x105 to arrange for pickup or mailing.

The bank will be required to comply with all applicable state and federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations. METRO, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, creed, color, religion, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, familial status, national origin or ancestry, age, physical or mental handicap unrelated to ability, or military status in consideration for an award.

In order to be eligible to submit a bid, the bidder must not be included on the United States Comptroller General’s Consolidated List of Persons or Banks currently debarred for violation of various public contracts incorporating Labor Standards Provisions.

METRO reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof. METRO reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities therein, and all bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of METRO for any penalty brought by a bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the bidder seek any recourse of any kind against METRO because of such rejections, and the filing of any bid in response to this solicitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidder to these conditions.

Commuter Bus Study
